Good Health Services Helps Cambridge Village of Apex offer a Continuum of Care to its Residents

APEX, N.C. – Good Health Services and Cambridge Village Retirement Community of Apex have established a partnership to provide supportive health services to residents at Cambridge Village. Under the agreement Good Health Services will provide home care and supportive services for the Apex community.

Cambridge Village is an independent retirement community currently under construction in Apex, with a February 2011 opening date. Good Health Services will have an office at Cambridge Village and offer residents a wide range of home care services, on an as needed basis.

“We want to offer the community a comprehensive wellness program that focuses on keeping seniors healthy.” said Mark Wilson, the Executive Director of Cambridge Village. “We are excited to have an experienced partner in Good Health Services available to offer our residents home care services they might need while still maintaining their independence and remaining in their apartments. Our plan is to offer a full set of wellness services that will allow our residents to “age in place”.

She goes on to say, “Good Health Services’ goal is to provide peace of mind, quality of life and promote independence by offering a comprehensive array of supportive services”.

Rex Wellness Centers to Provide Services at Cambridge Village of Apex

RALEIGH, N.C. – Rex Healthcare and Cambridge Village Retirement Community of Apex have established a partnership to provide wellness services to active seniors. Under the agreement Rex Wellness Centers will provide wellness programs and staffing for the Wellness Center at Cambridge Village.

Cambridge Village is an independent retirement community currently under construction in Apex. A 10,000 sq ft wellness center, complete with an indoor pool, therapeutic hot tub, exercise studio and fitness equipment area, is being built as part of the facility.

Cambridge Village Wellness Center will be staffed by a highly credentialed, friendly and experienced wellness team from Rex Wellness Centers. The team will include dietitians, fitness instructors, personal trainers and many other wellness professionals. Some of the programs and services offered will include cholesterol and glucose screening, nutritional counseling, weight training and group exercise classes.

“We wanted to offer the community a comprehensive wellness program that focuses on keeping seniors healthy.” said Mark Wilson, the Executive Director of Cambridge Village. “We are excited to have an experienced partner in Rex Wellness Centers assisting us in the design and implementation of this program. Our plan is to offer wellness services to our residents and non-resident seniors in the Apex & Holly Springs community, much like the wellness programs offered by Rex in its four locations throughout Wake County.”

“Our goal is to extend the reach of Rex Healthcare wellness programs to more communities in the Triangle area,” explains Neil Byrd, director of Rex Wellness Services. “Proximity to the Rex Rehabilitation and Nursing Care Center in Apex was also a plus.” adds Roy Tempke, director of Rehabilitation Services and Long Term Care for Rex. “With Cambridge Village building right next door, this offered a perfect opportunity to establish this type of relationship.
